About This Place

Yarmer beach is a good-sized stretch of sandy beach a little to the north of the better known Thurlestone beach. Actually Yarmer is the closest beach to the village but as there is no direct car access to the beach it is something of a hidden gem. --> Whilst the beach here has virtually nothing in the way of amenities and no lifeguard it is still a great spot for families. Backed by sandy dunes and with rock pools at either end there’s plenty to keep kids amused. Beyond the dunes is Thurlestone Golf Club so access is via a rather circuitous route and the coastal path. If you are looking for a peaceful beach to relax on, it is well worth the walk.

Though, be mindful that there is no description of the beach as of yet, keep an eye out in local groups for sand type updates. It's important to have a safe swimming experience, so be sure to check tide times before your visit. We are unsure about parking but it's worth checking nearby towns for potential options. This could be perfect for playful dogs who love year-round accessibility!
