Whitepark Bay
π Bushmills, Northern Ireland
About This Place
Magnificent arc of white sand between two headlands on a relatively secluded stretch of the North Antrim Coast. The headlands provide some shelter from prevailing winds and on the right conditions this is a popular spot with surfers. --> The beach and locale are a haven for wildlife with the dunes behind the beach teeming with wild flowers in the summer months. White Park Bay and much of the nearby coast are under the stewardship of the National Trust. Please note, the beach is unsafe for swimming due to dangerous rip currents.
π‘ Our Take
Whitepark Bay in County Antrim offers a picturesque, dog-friendly escape with stunning sandy stretches that your furry friend will adore. Dogs are welcome year-round to frolic on the fine, powdery sand, making it a perfect playground for big dogs needing a good run or nervous pups seeking serenity away from busy crowds. Parking is available nearby, but note the limited facilities close by, so come prepared with essentials. While the sea at Whitepark Bay can be tempting, swimming isnβt always safe due to strong currents. DogParkUK recommends it for those seeking natural beauty and tranquility alongside their beloved pets.
