About This Place

West Angle Bay Beach is a small, sheltered beach close to Milford Haven. --> The beach is made up of golden sand with rocky headlands at either end meaning it is protected from some of the wind. It is also something of a sun trap picking up the afternoon rays. The beach is popular for swimming and rockpooling, or as part of a walk in the wider area. From here it is a quick walk to the dainty village of Angle which is close by.One of the best things to do at West Angle is to look out for the ships that pass by the bay, including the Irish ferry which links Pembrokeshire and Rosslare as well as tankers travelling to Milford Haven.West Angle Bay was also the scene of s shipwreck in 1808 when the HMS Leda ran aground.

πŸ’‘ Our Take

Looking for a Pembrokeshire beach where your furry friend's welcome year-round? West Angle Bay is it! This sandy haven allows dogs unrestricted access, so let them enjoy the coast. Parking is ample but arrive early on sunny days. Remember, facilities nearby are limited, so pack refreshments. The gentle slope and relatively calm waters make it ideal for confident swimmers, although always supervise your pup near the water. This spot is fantastic for dogs who enjoy a good run on the sand but might not be suitable for pups easily overwhelmed by larger breeds. Remember to bring poo bags and leave only paw prints!
