About This Place

Just Along from Sea Palling is the comparatively unknown Waxham beach. Set just down the road from the little village of Waxham the beach here is firmly off the beaten track. --> This stretch of relatively unspoilt coast falls within the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With sandy beach as far as you can see in both directions it is easy to see why. The only minor blot on the landscape are the (necessary) sea defences. Whilst you will find a seawall and rock groynes here you wonโ€™t find anything on the scale of those at Sea Palling though. As with neighbouring Horsey, Waxham beach is a great spot for seal spotting. Grey seals can often be seen bobbing around in the sea and during the winter months they come ashore to give birth. The southern section of the beach here is referred to as Waxham Sands and there is a small holiday park here. This is usually busier than Waxham proper but also has more in the way of facilities.

๐Ÿ’ก Our Take

Nestled along Norfolkโ€™s stunning coastline, Waxham Beach is a hidden gem perfect for our four-legged friends. With golden sands that stretch for miles, it offers endless playtime, and best of all, dogs are welcome year-round. The gentle surf provides safe swimming for water-loving pups, while vast open spaces make it ideal for energetic breeds and big dogs. Ample parking is available, but come prepared with snacks, as facilities are limited nearby. Perfect for confident pooches and their human companions, Waxham Beach promises a day of exploration and fun. Just remember, respect the wildlife and clean up after your pet!
