About This Place
At low tide Waterwynch Bay Beach is a long sandy beach formed from two coves. It is backed by a pebble bank which is all that remains at high tide as the golden sands disappear completely. The beach is often eschewed in favour of the more popular resort town of Tenby, although this is a shame as Waterwynch Bay has much to offer those who make the trip here. --> The beach is surrounded by cliffs that rise to a height of 300 feet and you will get views from here over Tenby in the direction of Caldey Island and Lundy Island. Waterwynch Bay has long been associated with the Scottish pirate Paul Jones who used to anchor in the waters off the bay and then use the beach as a landing point. To get to Waterwynch Bay Beach you can access the Pembrokeshire National Park Coastal Footpath also takes you along Waterwynch Lane to Monkstone Point and Amroth. Note that parts of the path are very steep and may be challenging for some walkers. As you walk along the beach you can enjoy scrub oak, sycamore, larch, and Sitka spruce.
π‘ Our Take
Looking for a stress-free beach day with your furry friend? Head to Waterwynch Bay - a sandy haven where dogs are welcome year-round. The lack of specific details unfortunately makes it hard to properly assess, but assuming it's in the UK, we're hoping the sandy shores offer good grip for playful paws. Parking availability is unknown, so plan ahead! We'd also advise taking your own water and supplies as nearest facilities are unclear at this time. Ideal for energetic dogs who love to run free, just be mindful of swim safety due to limited information. Always supervise your dog near the water!
