About This Place

Walmer beach is really a continuation of Deal beach to the north. However, as you head south along this wide expanse of pebbles things become quieter. --> Behind the beach is the 16th century Walmer Castle, one of Henry VIII’s coastal defences. The castle is now owned by English Heritage. Unlike Deal beach, where there are seasonal restrictions, dogs are allowed all year at Walmer.
