Victoria Park Beach is a mostly rocky beach with some sandy patches along the eastern shore of the town of Arbroath, backed by a small cliff, and by Victoria Park. At the end of the beach that is closest to the town, there is a stretch that is a mixture of sand and pebbles. When the tide is out, a large number of rockpools are uncovered, which can make for an interesting place to hunt for marine life. --> There is a footpath that continues past the end of King’s Drive and along the Arbroath Cliffs, which offers great views of the surrounding area. There are many seabirds to be spotted in the vicinity and there is also the possibility of seeing seals bobbing up and down in the surf or basking on the rocks. The best car park for the beach can be found at the end of King’s Drive, where there are also toilets and a grassy picnic area overlooking the rocky coastline and the park. The beach is accessed from the car park via a slipway. The town centre of Arbroath is only a few hundred meters from the beach and boasts many facilities such as restaurants, pubs and hotels. There is also a railway station, a museum about the history of the Bell Rock Signal Tower, and a ruined abbey.
