About This Place
This lovely wide, sand and shingle beach is just far enough off the beaten track to make this one of Angleseyβs true hidden gems.Β --> The beach itself is a long stretch of sand and shingle at high tide. As the tide drops out an expanse of flat sand is revealed.Set between its more popular neighbour, Lligwy beach and the mouth of Afon Goch (Red river). A little way off the coast is Dulas Island with its pointed tower. It is said the tower was built by the lady of Llys Dulas Estate to offer shelter to any shipwrecked sailors who might wash up on the island. With the nearest parking around a mile away at neighbouring Lligwy the beach is usually quiet throughout the year.
π‘ Our Take
Heads up, dog lovers! DogParkUK thinks you and your furry pal should check out Traeth yr Ora beach, somewhere in the UK. A total blank canvas to create your own doggy adventure! Since there are no restrictions, it's potentially dog-friendly year-round. Hopefully, it has a soft, sandy surface perfect for paws. Parking will be a must. Swim safety is always paramount, so assess the waters and currents before letting your dog take a dip. This could be perfect for adventurous big dogs! Our practical tip; bring water and a bowl for your pup, especially on warmer days.
