Traeth Soden Beach
๐ New Quay, Glamorgan
About This Place
The remote cove of Traeth Soden is set at the foot of a long wooded valley through which the little Afon Soden river cascades. As this provides the only access from the road to the beach it is generally quiet, in fact Traeth Soden is known locally as โthe secret beachโ. --> The beach here is a mix of sand and shingle flanked by grassy headlands. The small stream cuts across the beach and sometimes forms a little lagoon above the high tide mark. As the tide goes out a rocky shoreline is revealed with a few rockpools.
๐ก Our Take
Looking for a dog-friendly escape in Wales? We at DogParkUK recommend checking out Traeth Soden Beach! This sandy haven welcomes dogs year-round, making it perfect for zoomies any time. Parking is available nearby, though facilities are limited, so bring water. Ideal for all breeds, it's especially good for confident swimmers, but do keep a close eye on currents before letting dogs off-lead. Although there are no nearby facilities, donโt worry, youโre close enough to local pubs or beach cafes. Our tip: bring a portable water bowl to keep your furry friend hydrated!
