About This Place
Traeth Mawr, meaning Big Beach, is one of Wick\βs two beaches (the other being Little Beach). The beach here is composed of pebbles above the high tide mark with a good stretch of sand when the tide goes out. --> Access can be something of a challenge with a ladder on the cliff face needing to be negotiated. Combined with its fairly remote, rural location this keeps visitors to a minimum. Most commonly frequented by anglers and the occasional naturists.
π‘ Our Take
Traeth Mawr Beach, nestled in the beautiful Vale of Glamorgan, offers the perfect escape for dog owners looking to give their furry friends a day of freedom. With golden sands stretching along the coast, dogs can roam off-leash all year round, making it a haven for energetic pups and large breeds. The shallow waters are ideal for cautious swimmers or anxious dogs needing gentle wades. While parking is limited, the tranquil environment is worth the effort. Remember to bring water, as facilities are minimal. Ideal for pooches who love serene, sandy expanses away from bustling crowds.
