About This Place
The tiny cove of Traeth Gwrddon is a real gem for explorers. Set at the foot of a steep, lush green valley this is a spot to get away from it all. --> The valley here was carved millenia ago by the water from melting glaciers. There is still a stream running down to the cove and there are a couple of little waterfalls en route. Once there were a handful of people living in the cove and making a livelihood fishing. The houses are gone but there are still steps cut into the rocks by the side of the stream. At low tide there is a good little patch of golden sand in the cove. However, as the tide comes in the beach all but disappears.
π‘ Our Take
Traeth Gwrddon Beach, nestled in the serene landscape of Anglesey, is a hidden gem for dog lovers. This beach allows dogs year-round, making it perfect for endless fetch games or gentle strolls along its soft, golden sands. While there are no immediate facilities, ample parking ensures convenience, with the nearest amenities just a short drive away. The calm waters make a splash safe for confident swimmers, though always keep an eye on tides. Ideal for big dogs and energetic puppies, this spot promises fun-filled adventures. Tip: Bring water as the site can get warm, especially in summer months.
