π Abergele, Gwynedd
About This Place
Towyn Beach sits just east of the seaside town of Abergele and is a considerable stretch of shingle and sand. --> The beach is a popular family friendly spot and you will also find a range of typical seaside amusements for children nearby such as old fashioned funfairs and amusement arcades. If you are travelling here with pets then you also wonβt be disappointed as dogs can go on the beach all year round.Β The back section of the beach is made up of a bank of shingle which, when the tide is out, leads to a large sandy area perfect for making sandcastles or digging around in with a bucket and spade. Towyn is known for its views over the water and on a clear day you can see across Colwyn Bay and even as far as the Isle of Man. You can also see across to the Great Orme which is located off Llandudno.
π‘ Our Take
Towyn Beach in Abergele, North Wales, is a fantastic dog-friendly haven all year round! Your furry pals will love the wide expanse of golden sand, perfect for zoomies and digging adventures. Parking is readily available nearby, making access a breeze. While there aren't many immediate facilities right on the beach, nearby Towyn offers shops and cafes. Be mindful of tides, as they can change quickly. Perfect for energetic dogs who love a good run and a paddle. Itβs best suited to well-socialized dogs due to its popularity, but is fun nonetheless. Bring water; it can get hot!
