Tolcarne Beach (Newquay)
π Newquay, Cornwall
About This Place
Tolcarne is the largest of four beaches that join up at low tide to create the mile of golden sand that Newquay is famous for. Sandwiched between Great Western and Lusty Glaze, Tolcarne is sheltered on three sides by tall cliffs.Β --> At low tide itβs possible to walk across from Great Western beach. At high, access is via a steep flight of steps cut into the cliff.
π‘ Our Take
Tolcarne Beach in Newquay, Cornwall is a haven for dog lovers, welcoming furry friends year-round. The soft, golden sand is perfect for playful puppies to romp around, while the gentle waves offer a safe spot for dogs to splash and swim. An ample parking area nearby makes the visit stress-free, and facilities like cafes and toilets are just a stone's throw away. With its welcoming vibe and space to roam, it's an ideal retreat for both big, energetic dogs and those with a more anxious disposition. Do check the tides; high tide can minimize beach space for running.
