The Naze Beach
π Walton-on-the-Naze, Essex
About This Place
The Naze is a peaceful stretch of sand that is a world away from neighbouring Walton-on-the-Naze. Backed by crumbling cliffs it can feel quit exposed being on the Naze as it juts out into the sea. --> This spot oozes history both ancient and modern. Being on the London Clay geological formation means there are fossils to be found here, most commonly sharks teeth which are surprisingly easy to find if you know what to look for. More recent historical remains include the various World War II defences which can be found across the beach. However, the most striking feature is the Naze Tower - an 8-story tower built in the 18th-century. The tower contains an art gallery, a museum and a rooftop viewing platform.
π‘ Our Take
Located on the Essex coast, The Naze Beach in Walton-on-the-Naze is a fantastic retreat for dogs year-round. Its golden sands offer the perfect playground for spirited puppies and big dogs to romp freely. Parking is accessible, though it can fill up quickly on sunny days. While there are no immediate facilities right on the beach, local amenities are just a short walk away. This beach is ideal for dogs that enjoy unrestrained exploration, with shallow waters providing safe paddling. Tides can be unpredictable, so always check tide times to ensure a safe and enjoyable visit with your furry companion.
