The Links Beach
π Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland
About This Place
This expansive sandy beach is the most westerly of three on Holy Island\βs remote, north coast. It is also the most exposed, taking the brunt of the waves and weather the North Sea can throw at it. --> However, if it is space you are after then there is plenty of that; when the tide goes out the beach here stretches all the way to Goswick Sands on the mainland. The island end of the beach has a slightly cosier feel as it backs up against the sand dunes and cliffs of Snipe Point. Here you will also find a plethora of rock pools when the tide goes out.
π‘ Our Take
Looking for a totally unrestricted dog beach in the UK? The Links Beach (location unavailable) offers year-round, dog-friendly fun! We love that dogs can roam freely whatever the season. While we don't know the sand type, freedom is awesome! Parking and other facilities nearby are also unknown at this time. Swim safety should be carefully assessed as we have no information on it. This is a fantastic option for confident dogs who enjoy open spaces. However, be extra cautious of other dogs as it can get busy. ALWAYS supervise your pooch. We especially recommend it for dogs who just need to roam with no restrictions.
