Stolford is a pebbly beach looking out onto the expansive mudflats of the Bristol Channel. --> It is possible to find fossils at Stolford beach amongst the bands of shale and limestone which are exposed at lower tides. Unfortunately these are often covered in muddy sand. Stolford isn’t a bad fishing spot with the best times around high tide.

Stolford Beach, nestled in Somerset, is a real treat for our furry friends because dogs are welcome all year round! The sand is more muddy than golden, which some dogs adore. Parking is available, though nearest facilities are a bit of a trek, so pack accordingly. Swim safety isn't heavily monitored, and the water gets deep quickly, so keep a close eye on your pups. This spot is ideal for energetic dogs who love a good splash and don’t mind a bit of mud. Tip: Check the tide times before you go, as the beach disappears at high tide.
