About This Place

South Denes beach is the most southerly of Great Yarmouth’s beaches and generally escapes the summer crowds of the main town beach. --> As far as the beach itself goes at South Denes it is pleasant enough. There is plenty of soft sand interspersed with wooden groynes. Most of the beach here is backed by low sand dunes as it stretches towards the port. The backdrop to the beach is a little industrial to say the least. Whilst this may not appeal to all it does add some interest watching the ships come and go.

South Denes Beach in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, is a fab year-round sandy spot for your furry best friend! Dogs are welcome anytime, making it ideal for spontaneous seaside fun. Parking's readily available nearby. While it's quite wild and open, remember that facilities aren't directly on the beach, so pack refreshments. Swim safety isn't always monitored; keep a close eye on your dog, especially with strong tides. It's brilliant for energetic dogs who love a good run, but less shielded so may not suit puppies or anxious dogs looking for a gentle introduction to the beach. Enjoy!
