About This Place

Set in one of the East Coast’s best known resorts, this long, wide sandy beach has plenty of activities for the family to enjoy, including donkey rides and the refurbished Fairy Dell paddling pool. Other activities typically available include canoeing and kayaking, crazy golf, sailing, swimming, sunbathing, and even surfing. Or try crabbing or rock pooling, paddling, picnics, and flying kites.  --> Skegness beach is typically quiet and peaceful for most of the year, and known for its cleanliness, however, it can get busy in season. The North Shore tends to be the quietest part of the beach. When the tide is out, there are pleasant walks along the small sand dunes. The beach has good access for those in wheelchairs or with pushchairs, and it’s also possible to hire beach wheelchairs.  There’s also a vintage pier with a traditional promenade and nearby fairground. A lifeguard service is provided in season; dogs are banned from 1 May to 30 September. The railway station is within walking distance, and there are plenty of nearby car parks. There are public toilets available – make sure you have some 20p pieces.

💡 Our Take

Looking for a classic seaside adventure? DogParkUK recommends Skegness Beach! This Lincolnshire coastline welcomes dogs year-round, making it a fantastic off-season choice. The sandy beach offers playful pups plenty of digging opportunities. Parking's available nearby, so get those leads ready! Remember to check tide times before letting them splash; currents can be strong. While amenities are a stroll away, make sure to bring water and poop bags. Perfect for confident swimmers and bigger breeds who love a good run - just keep an eye out, as it can get busy in peak seasons!
