Shepherd's Chine Beach
📍 Newport, Cornwall
About This Place
Shepherd’s Chine is one of a series of beaches along Brighstone Bay on the south west coast of the Isle of Wight. --> A chine is a geological feature common on this stretch of coast and consists of a river valley that has been cut into the soft cliffs leading to the sea. Shepherd’s Chine is easier to get down to than some of the others along this stretch as the valley is quite shallow and the steps are still in good condition.
💡 Our Take
Okay, DogParkUK says Shepherd's Chine Beach is a must-visit for Isle of Wight dog lovers! Its sandy shores welcome dogs year-round, perfect for zoomies any time! Parking can be tricky nearby, but a short walk reveals this doggy paradise. Swim safety can be variable, so keep a close eye on the tides. Nearest facilities are a bit of a trek, so pack refreshments. This beach is brilliant for energetic big dogs who love a good run, while puppies may enjoy the soft sand. Practical tip: Bring a towel, as sandy paws are guaranteed! This hidden gem is waiting to be explored!
