Seton Sands is a long, rural beach on the south bank of the Firth of Forth, between Cockenzie & Port Seton and Longniddry.Β --> The beach is popular for a range of activities such as windsurfing, canoeing and horse riding. There are also plenty of interesting walks in the area. In addition Seton Sands beach is dog-friendly, having its own dog exercise area. The beach itselfis a mix of sand and rocks and there is some interesting marine wildlife to be found in the rockpools which are exposed here at low tide.Β A car park can be found along the B1348 (Links Road) and from here a path leads through a wooded area, over the dunes, to the beach. A small Haven holiday village with an indoor-swimming pool and 9-hole golf course overlooks the beach.Β Shops, places to eat and drink and other amenities can be found in nearby Cockenzie and Port Seton and, of course, Edinburgh with all its history and culture is just a 30-minute drive away.
