Sandhaven is a long sandy beach lined with impressive sand dunes, located in South Shields, just south of the South Pier. The South Tyneside Heritage Trail crosses the beach. --> Birdwatching, surfing and windsurfing.

Parking is plentiful nearby making access easy. While the beach itself offers no immediate facilities, South Shields bustling town centre is a short walk away. Remember to check tide times before you visit as the beach can get quite narrow at high tide! We reckon it's best for robust breeds who love a good run and splash, but with attentiveness, even nervous dogs can enjoy this space! Enjoy the seaside vibes.
