The Sands of Rothiesholm are found in a large bay on the Island of Stronsay. Located to the east of most of the other islands this beach is fairly sheltered. --> Rothiesholm is among the best beaches in Orkney with its near-white sand stretching for just over a mile. The landscape is gentler here too with dunes behind and low grassy headlands lining the bay.The dunes behind the beach are home to an abundance of wildflowers and there is an area of wetland to the west where you may spot various birds.
