Rossall Beach
π Cleveleys, Lancashire
About This Place
Rossall Beach occupies the northern section of the promenade at Cleveleys. A good sized stretch of sand and shingle, the beach here has an altogether more natural, and somewhat wilder feel than the townβs main seafront --> Up towards the seawall the beach mainly consists of pebbles, but these quickly give way to some soft sand as the tide drops. Towards lower tide there is a good-sized expanse of flat sand. There are some great views from Rossall Beach; on clear days it is easy to make out the hills and mountains of the Lake District in the distance, while to the south youβll have no problem spotting Blackpool Tower. The beach is also a great spot for sunsets as the sun dips down beyond the Irish Sea.
π‘ Our Take
Rossall Beach in Lancashire is a superb, unspoiled stretch where dogs are welcome year-round! The firm sand is perfect for running, playing fetch, and digging, ensuring endless fun. Parking is readily available nearby. Remember, nearest facilities probably a short walk away, so plan accordingly. Itβs generally safe for swimming, but always keep a close watch on the tides. This open expanse is ideal for big, energetic dogs to really stretch their legs. *DogParkUK tip*: be mindful during high tide, as the beach area reduces considerably! A fantastic choice for dogs who love freedom.
