Rosehearty Beach
π Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire
About This Place
Rosehearty is a small town about 5 miles west of Fraserburgh.Β The north-facing beach here has stunning white sands and clear waters.Β In sunny weather it can almost have a tropical feel. --> The romantic ruins of Pittulie and Pitsligo castles lie behind the beach, which stretches in a crescent shape from the harbor to the west, to a cluster of rocky outcrops to the east. Although there is no lifeguard, the beach is used for swimming, paddling and surfing and there are a number of good coastal walks in the area, with views out over the Moray Firth. Cowrie shells have occasionally been found here.
π‘ Our Take
Looking for a fantastic dog-friendly seaside escape in Aberdeenshire? Rosehearty Beach welcomes your furry friends all year round! The soft, golden sand makes it perfect for zoomies and playful digging. While facilities are limited, remember to bring your own water and poop bags. Parking is generally available nearby, and the village is just a short walk if you need supplies. The sea can be choppy, so keep a close eye on your dog, especially strong swimmers. Rosehearty is great for confident, energetic dogs who love a good run and a paddle! Always check tide times before visiting.
