Reeth Bay
๐ Ventnor, Hampshire
About This Place
Just around the corner from the Isle of Wightโs most southerly point (St Catherineโs). The name is derived from Wraith Bay as the bodies from wrecks on the south-west coast were often washed up here. --> The beach here is a pretty little cove with a slipway, stretch of sand and rocky foreshore. It backs onto the small village of Castlehaven.
๐ก Our Take
Reeth Bay, located on the picturesque Isle of Wight, is a hidden gem perfect for four-legged friends. Dogs are welcome year-round, frolicking freely on its soft sandy shores, which are ideal for sensitive paws. This quiet beach offers ample space for playful puppies and gives anxious dogs a serene spot to unwind. While there's no official parking, nearby roads provide spaces for a convenient visit. Please note, swimmers should be cautious as the currents can be strong. We at DogParkUK find Reeth Bay an excellent spot for a day out, with energetic strolls and adventurous dog swims in a tranquil setting.
