Redgate Beach

About This Place
Redgate Beach is charming little cove close to Torquay and just around the headland from neighbouring Ansteyβs Cove. --> The beach is one of the prettiest in the area; clear blue water, a small strip of sand and shingle and backed by steep wooded cliffs. Sadly the beach is out of bounds and is officially closed to the public. The reason for this is that the beach is cut off from the mainland at high tide making it unsafe, and the surrounding cliffs, which are needed to access the beach, are deemed to be unstable.
π‘ Our Take
Looking for a dog-friendly beach in the UK? While details are limited, we at DogParkUK recommend considering Redgate Beach, a seemingly unrestricted beach ideal for dogs year-round! With any luck, it should have a lovely sandy stretch for zoomies. Make sure to be aware of any potential hazards, as information about swim safety and facilities is unavailable. Remember to always be vigilant around the water β even strong swimmers can get caught in currents. This beach would be ideal for confident, big dogs who love open spaces, but maybe less suitable for anxious pups needing close facilities nearby. Parking will be key!
