About This Place

Porthmeor Cove is a small, sheltered cove halfway between Morvah and Zennor on the South West Coast Path. --> One of Cornwallโ€™s most important geological destinations, the cove is a combination of sand, pebbles and rocks. Park at Carn Galver engine houses and walk east for one and a half kilometers. Steep slopes and narrow paths lead down to the cove.

๐Ÿ’ก Our Take

Nestled near St Ives in Cornwall, Porthmeor Cove is a hidden gem perfect for dogs, open to them year-round. Its soft sand and the surrounding rugged beauty make it particularly inviting for puppies and adventurous big dogs alike. While there are no facilities on-site, the coveโ€™s peaceful seclusion compensates beautifully. While parking might require a bit of a trek, the serenity upon arrival is worth every step. However, the waters can be unpredictable, so swimming isnโ€™t recommended. For a relaxing day with your furry friend enveloped by nature, Porthmeor Cove is simply unbeatable.
