Porthluney Cove
π St Austell, Cornwall
About This Place
Porthluney is a sheltered sandy cove near Dodman Point. Overlooked by Caerhays Castle, the cove is part of the Caerhays estate. There is easy access but sadly the water quality has been somewhat lacking over recent years so swimming is not advised.Β --> Despite it being listed as a nudist/naturist beach in several places I have yet to find any evidence that it is. Generally considered a family beach so would not imagine this would be appreciated.
π‘ Our Take
Porthluney Cove, located in Cornwall, is a gem for dog enthusiasts. With its soft, sandy beach open for dogs year-round, it's perfect for canines who love to frolic by the sea. The ample parking space ensures a stress-free visit, with the nearest facilities just a short stroll away. However, the beach is unsupervised, so keep an eye on your pup while they swim. It's ideal for laid-back strolls, especially for anxious dogs who flourish in open spaces without restrictions. At DogParkUK, we believe Porthluney Cove is perfectly suited for those tail-wagging beach days with your furry friend.
