Porthgain Harbour Beach
π Goodwick, Glamorgan
About This Place
The little picture perfect harbour village of Porthgain is one of the gems of the Pembrokeshire coast. Set in a sheltered inlet this was once a busy port where slate, brick and granite were shipped from the local quarry. --> Today the main industry is tourism, and there are a number of galleries, cafes and pubs within a stoneβs throw of the harbour. But there are still plenty of reminders of the ports more industrial days. At low tide there is a small sandy beach here which, being in a harbour, is very sheltered. This is a wonderful spot for kids and the kind of place where holiday memories are made.
π‘ Our Take
DogParkUK recommends Porthgain Harbour Beach in Pembrokeshire! This charming beach welcomes furry friends year-round, so those spontaneous seaside trips are a go! While details on sand type are unknown, your pal will love exploring this coastal spot. Parking is available nearby. Unfortunately, we lack specific facility info and swim safety details; exercise caution! This hidden gem is fantastic for well-behaved dogs who are comfortable on small beaches. TIP: always bring fresh water for your dog as there may not be a water source present. This beach is perfect for relaxed beach days, not rigorous exercise!
