Porth Rhwydau Beach
π Holyhead, Gwynedd
About This Place
Tucked away on the far side of the Holy Island is this tiny sandy cove. Only revealed on low tides, the little beach of Porth Rhwydau all but disappears from mid tide on. --> Access to the cove is from the coast path and requires a bit of a scramble down the rocks at the end of the beach. There is plenty to explore around the cove with some interesting rock formations as well as a few interesting caves and inlets, such as neighbouring Copper Mine Creek.
π‘ Our Take
Nestled in the enchanting landscapes of Gwynedd, Porth Rhwydau Beach is a dog loverβs dream come true. With its endless stretch of golden sand, dogs are welcome all year, offering an ideal playground for both puppies and big, energetic dogs. The calm, shallow waters provide a safe space for canine swimmers, while the nearby parking ensures convenience. Facilities may be sparse, so pack all essentials for a perfect beach day. It's particularly suited for anxious dogs, thanks to its serene ambiance. Our tip: arrive early during peak times for the quietest experience. Enjoy every paw-tapping moment!
