Porth Eilian Beach
π Amlwch, Gwynedd
About This Place
The small bay of Porth Eilian is set on the fairly remote north-eastern tip of Anglesey. The name comes from the rocky headland to the east - Trwyn Eilian (Point Lynas). It is well worth walking out to the lighthouse for the views back to the bay and along the coast.Β --> This is also a good spot for taking in the local wildlife such as choughs and ravens. If you are fortunate you may even spot dolphins or harbour porpoises off the headland.Porth Eilian is relatively sheltered and has a slipway making it popular for a variety of water based activities including sailing, kayaking and diving. Other facilities include toilets and (free) parking a short walk from the beach
π‘ Our Take
Porth Eilian Beach, nestled on the Isle of Anglesey, is a hidden gem perfect for dog owners seeking a picturesque, year-round retreat. Characterized by its soft, golden sands, the beach offers ample space for playful pups to roam freely without restrictions. Parking is conveniently nearby, though it's wise to bring supplies as facilities are limited. With generally calm waters, swimming can be safe but always monitor the tide. This location is ideal for adventurous puppies and big dogs needing an energetic outlet. At DogParkUK, we highly recommend Porth Eilian for its tranquility and natural beautyβperfect for dogs and their owners alike.
