Pontllyfni Beach
π Caernarfon, Gwynedd
About This Place
This remote, peaceful beach with its stunning mountain backdrop is the perfect destination for those seeking solitude and plenty of open space.Β The terrain is composed mainly of shingle mixed with sand and there is a grassy area behind the beach which is suitable for picnics.Β From here a slipway leads onto the beach.Β --> The Afon Llyfni (river) enters the sea here, and there is a path leading along the riverbank. This stretch of the coast is used by walkers, dog walkers and fishermen. The beach faces west and gets some spectacular sunsets.
π‘ Our Take
Pontllyfni Beach in Gwynedd, North Wales, is a real doggy haven! With its wide expanse of sandy shores, your furry friend can run free all year round. No seasonal restrictions here! While parking is available nearby, do note that facilities are limited, so pack plenty of water for both of you. Swimming can be a bit rough, so keep a close eye on your pup. This beach is fantastic for energetic, bigger dogs who adore a good run and splash. A practical tip? Check the tide times before you go to maximize that glorious sandy play area!
