About This Place

A small west-facing beach on the Lizard peninsula. The first trans-Atlantic radio signal ever sent was from Poldhu, now in the hands of the National Trust and part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and an SSSI. An easy walk on the South West Coast Path to neighbouring Gunwalloe Church Cove. -->

πŸ’‘ Our Take

Poldhu Cove in Cornwall gets our tail-wagging seal of approval! Dogs are welcome year-round on its beautiful sandy beach, making it fantastic for off-season romps. The car park is conveniently close. While there aren't facilities directly on the beach, nearby Mullion village offers everything you need. It's generally safe for swimming, but always supervise your dog and be mindful of currents. Big dogs will love the space to run, but the gentle waves also make it suitable for puppies starting their beach adventures. Tip: Check tide times as the beach shrinks at high tide. Pack plenty of water, and enjoy!
