About This Place
The sandy beach at Pentewan Sands stretches for over half a mile. Whilst it is open to the public it is in fact owned by the holiday park behind the beach. This doesnβt really create any issues, in fact it means the beach is well maintained and there are plenty of facilities at hand. --> Pentewan faces east into St Austell Bay and is generally pretty sheltered from the wind and waves. This makes it a great spot for a variety of watersports, although there arenβt any lifeguards on duty here. At the northern end of the beach is Pentewan village with its old harbour. Despite the harbour being silted up and effectively cut off from the sea it is still a fascinating place to look around.
π‘ Our Take
Pentewan Sands, nestled in the charming area of Cornwall, is a dog owner's delight! This expansive beach welcomes dogs all year round, offering plenty of space for your furry friend to roam. The beach features fine, golden sand perfect for playful pups, and shallow waters ideal for swimming. Parking is conveniently available nearby, making arrivals and departures stress-free. Its lack of restrictions makes it a relaxed spot for energetic breeds and inquisitive puppies alike. A practical tip: watch out for occasional strong currents when swimming. Pentewan Sands, with its open spaces, is particularly great for big dogs seeking adventure.
