Pen-y-Cwm Beach
๐ Haverfordwest, Glamorgan
About This Place
Pen-y-Cwm beach is located around a small headland from the better known Newgale beach. In fact this is probably the easiest way to reach the beach as it is accessible across the sand at mid to low tide. --> The beach itself has plenty of sand, although there are a lot of rocks around the shoreline. This is good news for explorers as there are any number of rockpools. There is also a cave at the southern end of the beach. The beach is mostly backed by high, steep sandstone and shale cliffs. However, these dip down to form an access point where a footpath runs down the valley from Penycwm.
๐ก Our Take
Looking for a dog-friendly seaside escape? We at DogParkUK recommend Pen-y-Cwm Beach! While details are scarce, the best bit is that it's reportedly restriction-free, so your furry friend can enjoy the sand year-round. Assuming sandy shores, it's likely great for dogs who love digging and splashing. Pack water, as nearest facilities information is missing. We recommend checking tide times before visitingโespecially if your dog isnโt a strong swimmer. Best for confident, well-behaved dogs due to the unknown environment. Enjoy! We hope it's a paw-some adventure for you and your canine companion!
