About This Place
The small town of Newport lies on the Pembrokeshire coastline, not far from the beautiful Preseli hills and at the mouth of the river Nevern. --> To the north of the river is the wide expanse of Newport Sands, while in front of the town is the small sand and mud beach of Parrog, which doubles up as the villageβs harbour. This part of Cardigan Bay is an excellent destination for walkers, with the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path passing close by, offering some stunning cliff-top views.Β There is a golf course behind the beach, as well as plenty of places to eat, drink and stay to be found in Newport.
π‘ Our Take
Nestled along the scenic Pembrokeshire coast, Parrog Beach is a delightful haven for dogs, offering year-round access to its vast stretch of golden sand. This beach is perfect for energetic puppies and large breeds needing space to roam off-leash. With ample nearby parking, itβs a convenient spot for spontaneous trips. While there are no lifeguards, the waters are generally safe for a splash around, so long as pets are supervised. Remember to bring fresh water for your furry friend, as facilities are limited. Perfect for dog lovers seeking a tranquil and beautiful natural setting to share with canine companions.
