Pagham is a shingle beach, adjacent to the village of the same name, located just to the west of Bognor Regis.  This stretch of the coastline is reputed to be one of the sunniest places in the United Kingdom. --> The beach is popular for swimming, yachting (with a yacht club located on the beach), and windsurfing. It is also used by walkers. At the far west end of the beach lies the entrance to Pagham harbour, a wildlife area managed by several agencies, including RSPB. The wetlands and main lagoon of the reserve are good for bird-watching. Church Farm Holiday Park is located next to the lagoon. The area is a site of Special Scientific Interest. Nearby, Pagham church is dedicated to St Thomas à Becket, and dates from 7th century. Beyond the church a footpath leads to the north wall of the harbour, constructed in the mid-18th century. Pagham beach has further areas of historic interest. Less than a mile off the beach, the remains of a World War II Mulberry Harbour platform can be seen, and there are many beachfront properties adapted from old railway carriages, brought to Pagham in the early 20th century. Parking can be found in Pagham, a short walk from the beach, as can a number of facilities including cafes, shops, toilets, and places to eat.
