Ovingdean Beach
π Brighton, East Sussex
About This Place
Tucked away under the white chalk cliffs, and less than a mileβs walk from Brighton Marina is the surprisingly peaceful Ovingdean Beach. As there is no car park here the beach is mostly frequented by people taking a stroll along the aptly-named Undercliff Walk. With its small cafe Ovingdean makes an ideal spot to take a pause and enjoy the sea air. --> As with all the beaches between Rottingdean and Brighton Pier, Ovingdean Beach is dog friendly. Along with some great rock pools towards low tide this is a good choice for families.
π‘ Our Take
DogParkUK warmly recommends Ovingdean Beach in East Sussex for dog owners seeking a serene spot by the sea. This pebble beach welcomes dogs year-round, offering plenty of space for playful romps, making it ideal for energetic pups and big dogs. It's a peaceful location, perfect for those with anxious pets who might benefit from quieter surroundings. Although there's no direct sand, the pebbles provide a unique texture for exploring paws. Nearby parking is available, but do pack essentials as facilities are limited. Always keep an eye on your furry companion around the water, as the sea can be unpredictable.
