Newton's Cove
๐ Weymouth, Dorset
About This Place
Tucked away below Nothe Gardens, Newtonโs cove is a small area of shingle with plenty of rock pools. The beach is backed by a modern promenade which makes access easy from Nothe Fort. Generally speaking this is one of the quieter spots in Weymouth and can be a great spot to get away from the summer crowds. --> The cove sits in the shelter of the he Portland breakwater and harbour. This makes it a good spot for swimming and snorkelling, although be aware there is no lifeguard here.Newtonโs coveโs shoreline is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) as it is home to a rare geological formation known as the Nothe series.
๐ก Our Take
Looking for a beach where your furry friend can run wild year-round? We at DogParkUK recommend checking out Newton's Cove, located in Dorset! While details are limited, the fact that there are no restrictions makes this spot ideal for dogs who love freedom. We think it's great for big dogs who need space to roam. The sand type is unknown, so best to check beforehand if your pup prefers soft or pebbly footing. Parking availability is also unclear, plan accordingly. Remember that nearest facilities are unconfirmed, so bring water and poop bags with you for a joyful, safe experience.
