Mwnt Beach

About This Place
The lovely little beach of Mwnt consists of a rectangle of sand backed by steep cliffs and overlooked by the dome-shaped headland of Foel y Mwnt. Owned by the National Trust, this beach is a little off the beaten track but despite this Mwnt is still a popular family beach. --> Much of Mwnt beachβs attraction lies in its unspoilt natural beauty. With fine golden sand, turquoise sea and barely a sign of development this is a special place. One of the few buildings near the beach is the diminutive 14th century Church of the Holy Cross (Eglwys y Grog). This little whitewashed chapel was built for passing sailors and pilgrims who frequented the area in medieval times.Located within the Cardigan Bay Special Area of Conservation, the headland at Mwnt beach is a great spot for spotting dolphins, basking sharks and porpoises as well as a host of other wildlife.
π‘ Our Take
Looking for a proper doggy adventure? DogParkUK recommends Mwnt Beach in Ceredigion, Wales! Itβs paw-some because dogs are welcome year-round on its golden sands, perfect for digging and zooming. Parking's available, making life easier, but nearest facilities are a short drive away, so pack accordingly. While the seaβs inviting, always check tide times - currents can be tricky! Mwnt's gentle waves are great for confident swimmers, but perhaps not ideal for tiny pups or dogs nervous around water. Our tip: bring a towel to get the sand off you both. Enjoy!
