About This Place

This is a sand and shingle beach at the bottom of a cliff top, overlooking Cardigan Bay, and surrounded by pleasant, hilly countryside. The beach is popular for walking and boating, with excellent views from the cliff tops, and the chance of seeing marine wildlife such as seals, dolphins, or even whales out in the surf. --> The Morfa Bychan Holiday Park is perched on the cliff tops directly above the beach, which is reached down a path from the Holiday Park. The nearest large town is Aberystwyth, a few miles to the north. Here, many facilities such as shops, places to stay, and places to eat can be found as well as a railway station.

πŸ’‘ Our Take

Looking for a dog-friendly escape in unspoilt Wales? We at DogParkUK recommend Morfa Bychan Slipway beach! Dogs are welcome year-round on its beautiful sands, meaning endless tail wags. Parking is nearby, making access easy. Remember, though, facilities are limited, so bring your own water. The calm shallow waters are ideal for puppies and gentle giants to paddle, but like any beach, check tide times before swimming. While the beach is expansive, anxious dogs will love exploring the quieter corners. Always scoop the poop. This gem's perfect for an off-lead frolic any time of year!
