Morfa Bychan (Pendine) Beach
π Tenby, Glamorgan
About This Place
Pendine is a sand and shingle beach at the bottom of a cliff top, overlooking Carmarthen Bay, and surrounded by pleasant, hilly countryside. The beach is popular for walking and boating, with excellent views from the cliff tops, and the chance of seeing marine wildlife such as seals, dolphins, or even whales out in the surf. --> There are some limited facilities at Pendine Village but the nearest town of any size is Saundersfoot, a few miles to the west. Here, many facilities such as shops, places to stay, and places to eat can be found as well as a railway station.
π‘ Our Take
We at DogParkUK recommend Carmarthenshire's Morfa Bychan (Pendine) Beach for its year-round dog-friendly access! Your furry friend can happily bound across its vast sandy expanse, perfect for tiring out even the most energetic pups. Parking is available, but facilities are limited nearby, so bring refreshments. While the beach is dog-welcoming, be cautious of strong currents β best suited for confident swimmers. A tip: check tide times beforehand to maximize your playtime! It is ideal for big dogs with plenty of space, but good for puppies too. Ensure tiny dogs have plenty of rest. Enjoy!
