Long sand and shingle beach which runs from the harbour mouth and backs onto the marina in Maryport. --> From the beach here you can clearly make out the coast of Scotland 20 miles or so across the water.

This sandy stretch welcomes dogs year-round, so your furry friend can always enjoy a good romp and splash. Parking is conveniently close to the beach however, nearby amenities are limited, so pack water! The sea can be quite exposed, making swimming a little dangerous, so keep your dog close. Maryport Beach is fantastic for older dogs who enjoy a leisurely stroll and a paddle in the sea. Little puppies may find all the sand overwhelming. We recommend checking tide times before you go.
