About This Place

Largs is a traditional seaside resort with lots of activities and places to eat or drink.  There are a number of beaches, as well as two promenades and a number of large, grassy areas.  Thanks to the proximity of the Gulf Stream, the beaches here benefit from a relatively mild climate.  A passenger ferry takes visitors on trips to Great Cumbrae Island. The Clyde Muirshields Regional Park is nearby and is popular with walkers. --> Main Beach is sandy in parts, and is backed by a promenade.  There are views over the Firth of Clyde towards Great Cumbrae.
