About This Place

Llanina Beach is located near New Quay and sits at the western end of Little Quay Bay. The beach faces the Irish Sea meaning that visitors here can look out over Cardigan Bay and, if lucky, spot dolphins from the shore. Alternatively you can also take a boat ride around the bay. --> The beach itself is made up of a mix of sand and rocks. The western side is sheltered from the winds and extends up to a campsite area. This then backs on to the village of Pont Llanina and the campsite also has toilets available. If the beach looks familiar, this may be because it was used as a location for the film The Edge of Love which was shot here in 2008. Points of interest close to the beach include the Llanina Ruins which are located in the nearby Coed Llanina woodland area.

πŸ’‘ Our Take

DogParkUK hearts Llanina Beach somewhere in the UK! We don't know where, since the original data is missing the county, but we are assured that dogs can enjoy this sandy haven year-round, making it ideal for off-season fun. The lack of specific information means we can't vouch for parking or nearby facilities – so come prepared! Swim safety is unknown; err on the side of caution. Generally, it's likely best suited to confident swimmers. Remember to bring poop bags: even an empty beach requires responsible pet parenting. This beach would most likely be best for dogs needing wide open spaces.
