About This Place

Llangrannog would have started life as a rural village attached to a port, but nowadays the beach here is the main draw and one of the best loved in Ceredigion. The beach here sits below a series of craggy cliffs and on what is part of the scenic Wales Coast Path. --> Llangrannog beach is a family friendly stretch of sand which has lifeguards over the summer months. As well as being ideal for all the usual beach activities and bathing, The Beach is popular for watersports including surfing. You can also go sailing here and due to the fresh winds in the area and the slipway. At low tide Llangranog links to Cilborth Beach to the north and there is a cliff top path between the two beaches.Llangrannog sits close to neighbouring Ynys Lochtyn which is a small peninsula with and island just off its coast which is home to a seal colony.

πŸ’‘ Our Take

Llangrannog Beach in Ceredigion, Wales, is a fantastic year-round dog-friendly haven! Perfect for letting your furry friend run wild on its gently sloping sand. The lack of restrictions means unrestricted fun for dogs of all sizes. Parking is close by. Remember, however, that nearest facilities are in the village, a short walk away. Swim safety can depend on the tide, but be sure to check before allowing your dog to swim freely. Llangrannog is ideal for energetic dogs who love to fetch and splash. Tip: bring fresh water, as there aren't readily available dog bowls straight on the beach!
