Llanfairfechan Beach
π Conwy, Gwynedd
About This Place
Llanfairfechan beach is mainly pebble beach when the tide is in but as it drops away a wide open stretch of sand is revealed. The beach here is backed by the Victorian seaside town of Llanfairfechan, which is overlooked by the 434m high Penmaenmawr mountain. --> A promenade with a pavilion provides a cafe and summer entertainment, while a dinghy park makes this beach popular with sailors. The beach is also a good spot for fishing and, a little further down the coast, birdwatching. For walkers, Llanfairfechan is backed by the coast path and also makes a good starting point for more adventurous walks into the nearby Carneddau mountains.
