Little Haven beach lies in St Bride’s Bay immediately next to the picturesque fishing village of the same name.  --> The beach forms a natural cove, flanked on either side with rocks.  Little Haven beach itself is a mix of wet sand and pebbles.  When the tide is in the beach is really quite small but at low tide visitors are able to walk around the headland to the large sandy bay at Settlands and beyond that to Broad Haven.  The Pembrokeshire Coast path also passes alongside the beach and offers pleasant walks in both directions.  A path suitable for pushchairs leads up to The Point, from which there are good views over St Bride’s Bay. The beach has a long slipway and is popular with boat users as well as with families with plenty of rock pools here at low tide to search for interesting sealife in.  Another attraction for the kids is a forked stream which runs through the sand. It can get quite busy here in the summer months. Note that the beach has been designated a voluntary no-smoking area. There is a limited amount of paid parking in the village as well as three pubs and a café. In the 1970s Little Haven became the focus of attention from the press after a number of sightings of UFOs were reported in the area.

We at DogParkUK adore Little Haven Beach for its dog-friendly freedom! Located in Pembrokeshire, it allows dogs all year. The sandy shores are perfect for zoomies, and energetic pups will thrive here. Parking nearby makes access easy. As there aren't many facilities right on the beach itself, pop into nearby Little Haven village for refreshments. Swim safety can vary, so do keep a close eye on the tide and your dog's swimming ability. This beach is excellent for dogs who enjoy the beach - big, confident dogs especially! A word of warning: be mindful of seabirds – dogs may naturally chase them.
