Limpert Bay (Aberthaw)
π Cardiff, Glamorgan
About This Place
Limpert Bay lies to the west of Cardiff Airport, and is overlooked by the Aberthaw Power Station, from which two large cooling water outlets enter the sea. --> The wide bay has a shingle and rock beach and at low tide an expanse of wet sand and mud is exposed. From the beach here there are views over the Bristol Channel towards Minehead and Exmoor. The beach is also considered to be a good spot for fishing. To access the beach, turn off the B4205 towards Gileston, and from this small settlement take the road south. This road ends in a car park. There are no facilities at the beach, but a historic pub, thought to have been built in 1380 can be found in East Aberthaw.
