🏖️ Beach
Lawrence's Bay
📍 Hugh Town, Cornwall
About This Place
This delightful, sandy beach lies on the western coast of St Martin’s in the Scilly Isles. It has splendid views over the rocks and islands which rise out of the waters between St Martin’s and Tresco. --> The long stretch of pale, fine sand slopes gently into the shallow, turquoise waters of St Martin’s Flats. Lawrence’s Bay is backed by protective dunes and grasslands. Despite its beauty, this beach seldom gets busy as it is quite remote. If you are very lucky you may have it all to yourself. Come here to get away from it all and to truly appreciate the wild splendour of the Scilly Isles at their best. The beach is used by families and is a good place to come rockpooling or kayaking. A hotel, pub and a café are all within easy reach of the beach.
💡 Our Take
Looking for a dog-friendly beach escape? While we lack specific details, beaches *generally* offer excellent year-round fun. Imagine your furry friend bounding across the sand, enjoying the fresh sea air. Always check local council websites for updated rules before you go, especially regarding parking and seasonal access. If Lawrence's Bay boasts calmer waters, it might be ideal for puppies or dogs nervous about swimming. For everyone's safety, be mindful of strong currents and supervise your dog closely in the water. We strongly advise checking tide times to avoid getting stranded. Make your dog's happiness a priority!
